eSim in Nepal

Nepal Telecom (NT) is going to distribute e-SIM cards to their customers on Shrawan 2079. The company has agreed to use them after negotiating with an international phone service provider, Monty UK Global.

With the availability of e-SIM technology, users don’t need to use a physical SIM card. However, you would need a smartphone that supports e-SIM and customers would also need to make a phone call to register with their current carrier.

What is an eSIM?

eSIMs are a type of SIM card that is embedded into your device and is backed by GSMA. They provide all the benefits of a traditional SIM card, with the ability to configure it yourself in case you need more granular control over it. With the new eSIM on your device, you can increase your freedom when switching to a different network. eSIM allows for a more efficient and faster way of authenticating yourself on the go.
